A shower is a water containment system with tile glued to it. Pan, membrane, and slope are inspected before anything covers them up.
Tile and stone
Layout set out before the first sheet is cut, so the pattern lands where it should and the cuts end up where you don't look.
Plumbing and fixtures
Valves, supply, and drain replaced or relocated as the design needs — not worked around because opening the wall was inconvenient.
Ventilation and finish
A fan that actually moves the air out of the room, and the lighting, glass, and hardware that finish it.

The things
people ask.
- Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?
- Commonly, yes. The constraints are the drain location, the floor structure, and whether it's the only tub in the house — that last one matters for resale more than people expect, so we'll raise it.
- What if you find rot or a leak behind the wall?
- In an older bathroom it's more likely than not. You'll get a photograph, an explanation, and a written change before we repair it — never a surprise on the final invoice.
- Is a primary bath very different from a hall bath?
- Mostly in scope rather than method. A primary bath usually adds a larger shower, double vanity, and sometimes a layout change; the waterproofing and mechanical work underneath is the same standard either way.
